Unusual bald dog with big ears guessed the riddle of her rescuers
Dog named BlossomLos Angeles metropolitan shelter came from the street in mid-April. It was a small dog with large ears, one of which was as if bitten by someone, and completely devoid of hair. Her naked body was wrinkled and pink.
A riddle immediately appeared, the dog’s hair fell due to scabies, allergies, or maybe the dog was initially bald and just had skin irritation?
The city shelter did not have money for additional studies of Bloss disease and the dog just sat quietly in his cage and waited for the right days to come out, for which he should find the owners. After this period, the dog would be sent to sleep.
Blossom was lucky when she stumbled on her photo on social networks GretchenMay, which had previously saved several dogs from the shelters and now they lived in her house.
“This dog looked so miserable in the photograph and at the same time she was very cute. “I immediately felt how bad it was for her to sit in days in a cage, which was useless to anyone, when she obviously needed medical attention and everything was scratched inadvertently due to inflammation on her skin.”
Gretchen lives in San Diego, but she managed to negotiate with Precious Pals Pet Rescue, a private humane society, to bring the dog from California and give it to her. Volunteers immediately agreed to help and soon Blossom was already driving to her new home.
The first examination at the veterinarian showed that Blossom had an upper respiratory tract infection, cough, numerous scratches on the skin, an ear infection, and of course it was completely bald, the reason could not be established. A lot of pills were prescribed by the Bloss. After a month she was completely healthy, but she was still bald and her hair did not grow back.
The Gretchen family was sure that the whole thing was a mysterious allergy, but they could not understand what the dog was allergic to.
“I believe that in the past she had a lot of wool, but we still don’t know why she fell out. And they’re not even sure if she will grow up with her again. We don’t even know what breed it is, probably some kind of cross with a Chihuahua, but it could very well be a cross with a hairless dog breed or even a terrier. In some places, her hair still grows on her little body, but there are very few such places. ”
Blossom's past is also still shrouded in mystery. It is not known where she lived before and who threw her out onto the street. But her current family does not care about these problems, the main thing for them is that Blossom is now healthy and well. And whether her hair grows or not, this is the tenth matter.
